Easy to use!
This app is so great if youre a new provider. It lets you search by system or by panels. Such an invaluable tool to have if you are still uncertain about the breakdown of some labs. Only thing to make it better is if you could add labs together and see what the possible dx are based on high/low values.
Really easy to read, navigate, and understand. Great for nursing students or anyone in the medical field!!
Very informative and handy.
Awesome app!! Must have for all RNs & even students. The lab values are very accurate in relation to hospital lab values. I also love the explanations & causes of the different lab values (i.e. hypo vs. hyper). Great job!
I recommend any one study medicine to buy it very helpfull
This is the best lab values app in the store i use it everyday!
This app is a perfect quick reference for reviewing labs. Different routes to look up info as well.
Great review tool on the job and at home
A must have for nursing school and clinicals
Its almost as though whoever wrote the descriptions has autocorrect on... there are lots and lots of typos where its a real word just not the right one. (Id say about half the entries Ive looked at so far). While I havent come across any wrong numerical values, the typos need fixing and are a bit disconcerting in regard to credibility. Please fix! So I can give the 5 stars u deserve. An additional suggestion would be to add a quiz mode to the app, like grasp for nursing central.
Im a MD student and find this app very helpful when studying. Particularly helpful are the collections of systems based labs and common lab panels, allowing you to look up everything you need at once. (Dont know why I didnt discover that until now, was previously searching for everything manually). Great app!!
Kindly
I like the app and can use on the fly mostly for ranges but anything comprehensive is not cover. It scratches the surface but is a well organized, user-friendly app.
This app could be great, but it has errors. I would not use it to treat patients. Great for reminding or refreshing your knowledge, but use the websites to verify and cross reference. The first section I looked at had a major error. It lists a possible cause of increased platelet count to be essential thrombocyTOPENIA instead of thrombocyTHEMIA. This would basically be the opposite of true. Needs an option to submit errors on each page when we find them so they can be corrected, then I would give 6 stars!
I like the fact that I can edit lab values and add notes! It is also helpful that you can set up favorites. However, some of the values and information contradict the info that is provided through the links. There are typos & misinformation...last update seems to be in 2012. Needs an update to get 5 stars!
While I can look past spelling errors and little typos, I cannot forgive glaring errors that misdiagnose or list the wrong causes. Needs to be reviewed by a medical professional!
Glad to be able to grab lab value norms while working with patients
This is one my go-to apps for quick reference. It has served me well as a nurse and continues to be a favorite as I work through my FNP program. I also appreciate the excellent customer support. My suggestion email was answered by the developer right away and my feedback was incorporated into an update. Very happy with Pocket Lab Values.
iOS 8 redesign would be nice
